Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Location: 8430 Spires Way, Suite S
Company: EDCO Fabrication

Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM


Position Overview

EDCO Fabrication is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate, properly handled, and delivered on time. Strong attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this position.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and ship company products
  • Compare materials being shipped to bills of lading and report discrepancies
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents
  • Sort and organize materials in designated areas
  • Create shipping labels and documentation using computer software
  • Maintain inventory for stock parts as needed
  • Inspect parts prior to shipment for quality and accuracy
  • Read and interpret blueprints and dimensional drawings
  • Accurately measure materials using a tape measure
  • Create bills of lading and schedule shipments
  • Count and verify shipped items, noting shortages or damages
  • Build and cut wood skids for shipping
  • Shrink wrap and band pallets
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, banding machines, and nail guns
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in other departments as needed

Qualifications
  • High school student or equivalent
  • Prior experience or vocational training is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to follow directions and work safely in a warehouse environment

Physical Requirements & Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and lifting
  • Comfortable working around machinery and moving equipment
