  • Pick, pack, label, and stage orders in accordance with customer specifications and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, packaging, and product condition prior to shipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Generate and maintain all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, shipping labels, advance ship notices (ASNs), and certificates as required.
  • Use email, Microsoft Excel, word processing tools, and shipping software (such as UPS, FedEx, DHL portals, LTL/TL platforms, and TMS/WMS/ERP systems) to manage shipments and records.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and retention in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams such as production, quality assurance, and customer service.
  • Proactively communicate shipment delays, exceptions, or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders and drive timely resolution.
  • Adhere to shipping SOPs, customer routing guides, and packaging standards to ensure consistent and compliant shipments.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining clean, complete records and traceability for outbound shipments.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area, including participation in 5S activities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform physical warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading trailers, palletizing, stretch-wrapping, labeling, and staging outbound orders.
  • Assist with cycle counts and contribute to inventory accuracy related to outbound shipments.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time shipment percentage, damage rate, and order-to-ship time.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce errors, increase throughput, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to use word processing tools for creating and formatting shipping documentation and templates.
  • Experience working with carrier portals and shipping software, including parcel platforms such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving, order picking, packing, and packaging.
  • Proficiency in warehouse operations, including inventory control, cycle counting, and use of RF scanners.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain forklift certification within a defined timeframe.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in order processing, documentation, and inventory handling.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address shipping discrepancies, delays, and operational issues.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with carriers and internal teams.
  • Commitment to safety practices and adherence to warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan, or comparable ERP, WMS, or TMS platforms.
  • Comfort using RF scanners and related warehouse technologies.
  • Experience generating and managing bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, and other shipping documents.
  • Knowledge of KPIs such as on-time shipment percentage, damage rate, and order-to-ship time, and experience tracking or reporting these metrics.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, if applicable.
  • DOT or HazMat-related training or certification, if applicable to the operation.
  • Post-secondary education or coursework in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with data entry and basic Microsoft Office applications beyond Excel, such as Word and Outlook.
