Inventory Receiving Forklift Operator

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking an Inventory Receiving Forklift Operator to oversee incoming inventory operations and support warehouse efficiency at our facility. This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed while maintaining a safe and organized receiving environment.

This role will report to the Warehouse Manager, working Monday through Friday (8 hour shifts) 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (hours may vary depending on receiving needs).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for accuracy
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects and report issues to the appropriate team
  • Enter received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately and in a timely manner
  • Transport received goods to designated storage locations using forklift and other powered industrial equipment
  • Stack, organize, and store palletized inventory safely and efficiently
  • Communicate with purchasing and procurement teams regarding shortages, overages, or damaged goods
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and warehouse area
  • Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for delivery scheduling and documentation
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Valid forklift certification (sit-down counterbalance, reach truck, or stand-up) required
  • 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents
  • Ability to work 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (hours may vary depending on receiving needs)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory record-keeping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand/operate equipment for extended periods
  • Knowledge of OSHA forklift safety standards and best practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
