Description:

Makwa Global is looking for an efficient Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage the intake and out-processing of critical defense assets at NUWCDIVNPT. You will be the first line of defense for quality control on incoming freight and the final check for materials being shipped out to naval detachments worldwide.



Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming freight, perform physical "kick-and-count" inspections, and verify part numbers, quantities, and condition codes against shipping manifests.
  • Route and process materials utilizing the One Supply Process (OSP) suite of tools.
  • Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) and Preservation, Packaging, Packing, and Marking (PPP&M) duties in accordance with MIL-STD-2073.
  • Kit and assemble materials for shipment, ensuring hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and sensitive items are packaged to military specifications.
  • Generate and affix proper shipping labels, bar codes, and RFID tags.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or mailroom operations.
  • Experience with packaging and kitting (DoD PPP&M experience is a major plus).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot discrepancies on shipping manifests.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD CAC/Security Clearance.
