Job description

Job Title: Order Shipping Specialist

Reports to: Distribution Center Fulfillment Manager

FLSA Status: Full-time; Non-Exempt

Purpose: The Order Shipping Specialist is responsible for shipping all Consumer direct, Wholesale, and Major accounts in a timely and efficient manner based on metrics. The Order Shipping Specialist must know how to create ASN’s based on customer requirements. They are responsible for completing outgoing and incoming paperwork from all carriers. Work with rest of shipping team, Operations Manager, DC Supervisors, and Leads to help make daily goal.

This position is based at our headquarters in Michigan City, IN.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Function

Order Shipping
  • Ship Consumer direct and Wholesale orders utilizing Shipstation
  • Learn OWMS Screen and ERP system to resubmit orders when needed
  • Complete all outgoing paperwork for Mail Innovations and Fedex
  • Create ASN’s for specialty customers
  • Secondary Functions
  • Assist in other areas of the DC as needed and assigned by DC Supervisors, Leads, or Operations Manager
  • Including but not limited to:
  • Picking WS and CD Orders
  • Packing WS and Casing CD Orders
  • Making Boxes
  • Shipping
  • Replenishment
  • Inbound Receiving

  • Skills & Knowledge Required
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to read with good comprehension and precise mathematical skills
  • Must be a selfstarter, resultsoriented, and a team player

  • Light work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Work can require walking while carrying objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well as grasping objects, and reaching with hands and arms
  • Reliable physical attendance is required
