Job description

Shipping Coordinator
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all shipping activities to support production and customer delivery requirements. This role ensures finished goods, materials, and documentation are processed accurately, packaged properly, and shipped on time in compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Shipping Coordinator works closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Summary
  • Prepare, package, and ship finished goods in accordance with customer specifications and company procedures.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments using approved carriers and freight providers.
  • Generate shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, export paperwork, and shipping labels.
  • Verify product counts, part numbers, revisions, serial numbers, and customer requirements prior to shipment.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific packaging, labeling, ESD, and handling requirements for electronic assemblies and components.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records within ERP/MRP systems and shipping databases.
  • Schedule freight pickups and communicate shipment status to internal teams and customers as required.
  • Work closely with Production and Planning teams to prioritize shipments and meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Perform other assignments as required

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2-4 years progressive experience required.
  • Strong computational skills with the ability to conceptualize and understand technical reports, data, drawings, etc.
  • Intermediate level computer proficiency, including proficient with Microsoft Office - Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects.
  • Able to work with a high level of accuracy and with minimal supervision.
  • Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or electronics production environment, preferably involving electronic assemblies or PCB products.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation.
  • Understanding of ESD handling requirements and electronic product packaging.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
