We are looking for a Shipping Clerk for the New Jersey location. The position reports to the job title. The salary is $21.00 to $22.00

Job Summary

The position is responsible for monitoring, processing and recording Staci Americas’s outgoing deliveries including merchandise, stock, materials etc.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare various types of transportation billing documents.
  • Read shipping order to determine quantity, make determination as to type of transportation needed (UPS, FEDEX, LTL, and USPS) 
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, and/or measure items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading.
  • Contact carriers to make arrangements and to issue instructions for loading products.
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer specifications.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jacks to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to loading docks and/or trucks.
  • Loads product into containers and/or trucks as needed.

  • Electronic equipment (scanners, electronic boards)
  • Time organization and urgency

  • Working in a team environment or independently
  • Organization and planning

Ability To:

  • Adhere to shipping and inventory operating procedures
  • Operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Reach and bend

Selective Preference:

 

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
