Job Description

Join our dedicated team at the Aurora, IL Colors Plant, and play a vital role in our shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes. We're looking for a safety-conscious and detail-oriented Shipping Operator to help ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull finished product from inventory, assemble orders and prepare for shipment in accordance with company policy and customer requests.
  • Select, pack and wrap product to be shipped.
  • Receive inbound material including finished product from other locations, raw materials, operating supplies and equipment and transfers to appropriate storage locations.
  • Receive raw material for inventory, samples raw material for QC, and pulls raw material for production.
  • Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and transport materials between departments and buildings.
  • Count and examine raw materials, supplies, finished product, etc. to verify completeness against appropriate documents; checks for damaged materials; maintains records of shortages, damages and other exceptions.
  • Match material against bills of lading, advises supervisor of discrepancies as well as perform cycle counts and inventory verification.
  • Maintain work location in excellent condition to comply with company policies for safety and housekeeping.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years experience in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to meet certification requirements following company training program in forklift operation
  • Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift and overtime as necessary.
