Job Title: Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager
Location: Houston, Texas
Type: Direct Hire
Requirements:
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience managing import/export logistics and trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with or holding a Customs Broker license is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong initiative, organizational skills, verbal and written communication abilities, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in shipping operations, customs clearance, cost analysis, and supply chain information systems.
  • Ability to perform effectively independently and collaboratively under high-pressure conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power BI.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and streamline all logistics operations for domestic and international shipments.
  • Manage activities ensuring smooth goods flow across global supply chains while maintaining compliance with U.S. regulations and international trade requirements.
  • Guide logistics strategy and execution, serving as the primary subject matter expert in the department.
  • Provide master scheduling and process management for the Logistics Team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine logistics management plans addressing strategies, transportation safety, regulatory compliance, cost control, and customer satisfaction within the Compressor business area.
  • Coordinate and oversee import/export logistics, ensuring compliance with complex trade regulations, and maintain familiarity with customs broker licensing processes if applicable.
  • Leverage expertise in shipping operations, customs clearance, cost analysis, and supply chain information systems.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills; work effectively independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
  • Work additional hours as needed to meet business objectives.
