Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations. Will lead and develop the Shipping Department team and provide excellent customer service and work with management to ensure efficiency and safety.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Monitor department personnel - make sure everyone is managing their tasks and areas.
  • Continuous trainings on SOP and enforce warehouse procedures.
  • Make sure all product is accessible to production to avoid delays or down time.
  • Meet and ensure proper training for all new employees on all relevant job duties.
  • Maintain warehouse integrity and maximum space efficiency by organizing product and material.
  • Work with supervisor on opportunities for improvement for the mitigation of the issues.
  • Daily review of the reports to plan out needs.
  • Schedules employees according to volume needs.
  • Work with different departmental teams to determine shipping and packaging priorities.
  • Ensure Inventory levels are on-hand.
  • Determining methods to resolve any safety issue that arises.
  • Participate on Food Safety internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Ensuring that all product is shipping tasks.
  • Oversee all shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of all orders.
  • Assure all personnel report to work and have their assignments for the day.
  • Maintains all areas clean and operational following all safety and GMP's.
  • Must inspect area and maintain facility in compliance with state counted, stored, and labeled.
  • Assist with all outgoing produce to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
  • Observe loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specification.
  • Maintains all areas clean and operational.
  • Complies records and documents all shipping logs.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Will be involved with safety activities.

Other Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Follow the chain of command.
  • Do not leave job post/area without notifying the supervisor.
  • Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
  • Must be able to identify locations for all incoming and outgoing product.
  • Conduct accurate cycle count of inventory locations /forms in the warehouse.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, perform inventory audits of SOP's.
  • Respond to request for product checks in the warehouse.
  • Assist with research of non-conformities as necessary in working with the quality department.
  • Deals with customers and drivers daily.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Possible weekend shift must be assigned as needed.

Physical Demand and Work Environment :
