Job description

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Material Handler is a critical role responsible for managing the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the facility. This position operates a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and overhead cranes, and performs inventory and shipping functions using warehouse management systems. The role also requires proactive participation in continuous improvement efforts, cross-training, and maintaining compliance with ISO and company quality standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Material Handling & Inventory Management

    • Receive, label, and stage incoming raw materials and components based on production schedules using WMS/CHESS.

    • Pull and deliver inventory to manufacturing lines and finished goods areas.

    • Pick, verify, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.

    • Perform daily inventory transactions, cycle counts, and adjustments to ensure accurate stock levels.

  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance

    • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, order pickers, RF guns, and other warehouse tools.

    • Perform routine maintenance checks and maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and work areas.

  • Compliance & Documentation

    • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movements and order transactions.

    • Comply with all ISO procedures, work instructions, and quality policies.

    • Participate in audits and support corrective action efforts as needed.

  • Continuous Improvement & Cross-Training

    • Engage in the Self-Managed Performance (SMP) program through initiative, self-motivation, and ownership of work.

    • Cross-train across departments in both warehouse operations and basic production processes.

    • Demonstrate readiness and ability for advancement into higher-level roles as opportunities arise.

  • Quality Assurance

    • Identify and document non-conforming products or processes.

    • Ensure segregation, evaluation, and proper disposition of non-conforming materials.

  • Other Duties

    • Participate in team meetings, safety programs, and improvement projects as assigned.

    • Perform all other related duties as required by leadership.

Qualifications: 

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience with WMS or inventory control systems (WMS/CHESS preferred).
