Basic Job Functions:

Shipping Supervisor duties include leading the shipping team in planning, strategy and executing operations and maintenance;  drive training, growth and development of team members; facilitate continuous improvement in productivity and cost performance; coordinate operations with other departments; assist shift and other day supervision as well as all team members in the area. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years Leadership experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior shipping and/or logistics experience.
  • Experience in steelmaking and/or manufacturing.
  • Four-year college degree and/or other education, training or certifications demonstrating growth and personal development.
