Summary:

The Export Shipper / International Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing, documenting, and coordinating domestic and international shipments in compliance with company policies and export regulations. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with customs, trade, and transportation requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments in accordance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Create, review, and verify export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, customs laws, and international shipping procedures.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth transportation and delivery.
  • Schedule carrier pickups and monitor shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against sales orders, purchase orders, and packing instructions.
  • Package products securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of export transactions and shipping documentation.
  • Utilize shipping software and ERP systems to process shipments and generate required documents.
  • Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, damaged shipments, or customs-related issues.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Support warehouse, receiving, and inventory activities as needed.
Required Skills:
