Job description

Our client, a family owned and operated manufacturing company, is looking for a Shipping Associate to join their team in Natick.

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to take ownership of the shipping operations at a busy manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being the go-to person for ensuring products are packed and shipped correctly

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM (Overtime opportunities! - Some flexibility on hours)

Pay: $23.00/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all daily shipping operations as the primary shipping associate on site

  • Pack a wide range of products from small parcels to large, heavy shipments, ensuring they are secure and protected based on size, shape, and fragility

  • Use ERP system to generate packing lists, shipping labels, bills of lading, and waybills (UPS, FedEx, LTL)

  • Ensure all outgoing shipments include the appropriate documentation, including any required certifications

  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the shipping area

  • Order and stock shipping supplies as needed

  • Assist with basic inventory tasks when shipping volume is low

  • Prioritize quality and accuracy as the final checkpoint before product leaves the facility

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Prior experience in a shipping role required

  • Familiarity with generating waybills, bills of lading, and working with small parcel and freight carriers (preferred)

  • Ability to lift and handle products up to 100 pounds with assistance

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors before shipment

  • Solid computer skills and ability to learn internal systems (ERP experience a plus)

  • Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic

  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems creatively

  • Willingness to take ownership of the department and grow with the company
