Assistant Shipping Manager

Summary

Radwell International is seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Shipping Manager to help lead our Shipping Department and support daily logistics operations. This role is responsible for overseeing shipping workflows, ensuring shipments are processed accurately and on time, maintaining carrier relationships, and supporting a team of shipping professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping operations to ensure orders are boxed, processed, and shipped accurately and on schedule
• Monitor team assignments and workflow to maintain productivity and efficiency
• Build and maintain positive relationships with shipping carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, and freight carriers
• Coordinate and schedule LTL and FTL freight shipments
• Support international shipping activities, including commercial invoices, EEI filings, HTSUS codes, and related documentation
• Audit shipments to ensure packages are labeled, packaged, and documented correctly
• Maintain carrier pickup schedules and address delivery issues as needed
• Partner with departments across the organization to resolve order changes, delivery concerns, and shipping-related inquiries
• Maintain an organized and efficient shipping environment
• Execute action plans for same-day rush orders when standard carrier pickup deadlines are missed
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels for shipping supplies
• Verify employee timecards and monitor attendance adherence
• Track department metrics and support productivity management initiatives
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

• Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or transportation experience

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Shipping, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain experience preferred
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

Compensation & Bonus

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.

Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This role is eligible for an annual company bonus based on performance and company results.

Work Schedule

Employees work closely with shipping carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments to ensure efficient shipment processing and delivery performance. Frequent standing, walking, repetitive hand movements, and lifting may be required. Closed-toe shoes are required, and all employees must follow company safety standards and wear approved company apparel as required.
