We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient handling, documentation, and management of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical proficiency with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to streamlined warehouse operations and support the seamless flow of goods within a dynamic distribution environment.

Duties

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications and shipping standards.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize inventory management software, ERP systems, and warehouse management systems to track stock levels, update records, and manage order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange shipping logistics, schedule pickups, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate data entry related to shipping & receiving activities using systems like AS400 or MRP software.
  • Manage stock levels through inventory management practices including stocking, replenishment, and cycle counts.
  • Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
  • Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing storage areas for optimal space utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations during warehouse operations.
