JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Material Handler - Shipping
POSITION TYPE: Regular, Full-time
REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor
Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday
The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for the moving and storage of finished goods in warehouse
Responsibilities:
  • Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and stacking them to assigned places
  • Shrink wrap finished crates and store in appropriate place in warehouse
  • Responsible for material handling equipment
  • Adheres to all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping procedures
  • On limited production, may assist in stock-handler duties or load trailers as needed
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the appropriate party, including but not limited to housekeeping and assisting other employees in the performance of their job
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience operating a stand-up forklift
  • Team oriented and self-motivated
  • Must have flexibility of job assignments
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Physical effort required, continuous mental and visual attention required
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
  • Required to sit, stand, and move about the facility - ability to operate a forklift up to 95% of scheduled working hours
