Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Site responsibility for coordination of all shipping & receiving activities.
  • Organize shipping department to ensure a smooth flow of customer's orders. Plan and balance daily workload to meet objectives of daily shipping schedule including special customer instructions and/or requirements.
  • Process shipping documents as required (pick / pack / ship confirmation process _ Bills Of Lading, Packing Slips, B-13, Customs papers and NAFTA if & when applicable).
  • Maintain safe, clean and well organized warehouse and working areas. Ensure shipping areas are clear and free of any debris or obstructions.
  • Maintain accuracy of shipping & receiving documents.
  • Communicate with customer service group to address questions and/or requirements.
  • Maintain shipping log & metrics.

Education and Experience:

  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
  • Above average organization skills.
  • Labour relations
  • Ability to effectively speak before groups.
  • Ability to handle job related matters in a professional, diplomatic, and confidential manner.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in Shipping / Receiving in manufacturing environment
