Company Overview

Valley Craft Industries is a local manufacturing operation producing high-quality metal storage and material-handling products used by customers across the country. We offer steady work, an organized and safety-focused shop, and a team-oriented environment where people tend to stay and grow. If you’re looking for a stable manufacturing job with consistent hours and opportunities to learn multiple skills, Valley Craft is a great place to build a career.

We're looking for a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead our shipping and receiving team at our Lake City, MN facility — keeping product moving accurately, safely, and on schedule.

About the Role

This role owns inventory accuracy, carrier coordination, and safety compliance on the dock, and works closely with production and inventory planning to make sure every order ships on time.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and schedule shipping/receiving associates and dock operators across shift(s)
  • Coordinate outbound freight with LTL/FTL carriers; manage bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documentation
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation with our ERP/WMS system
  • Enforce safety protocols for forklift operation and dock activity, in line with OSHA standards
  • Partner with production and inventory planning to hit ship dates and resolve bottlenecks
  • Train new team members, conduct performance check-ins, and manage attendance and scheduling
  • Investigate and resolve shipping errors, damaged-freight claims, and carrier service issues

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Comfortable working in an ERP/WMS inventory system
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma required; associate degree a plus
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Schedule

  • Tuesday - Friday 5 am - 3:30 pm
  • 4 day work week!
  • Overtime as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $58,000–$65,000/year, based on experience
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Annual performance bonus eligibility
  • Clean, safety-focused facility with a collaborative team culture
