Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide leadership to Shipping and Receiving teams such as providing daily schedules, responsibilities and workflow.ย  Endure shipments meet customer requirements; direct the work of others to include trainees and ensures scheduled work is followed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (But not limited to the following)

  • Lead Shipping and Receiving teams and meet QAF monthly metric goals.
  • Assist with team training and flow down from leadership team.
  • Responsible for preparation of all shipping documentation which includes cert packages, closure of work orders and pack slips. (May assist with schedule of shipments as a backup role).
  • Maintain and Update QAF daily shipping metrics (Gemba walk).
  • Responsible with creating and submitting purchase requisitions for all shipping supplies.
  • Responsible for the management of expiration dates for all oils, inks, and lubricants.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent workflow to meet daily metric goals.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with ISO 9002/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Must contribute to positive work environment.
  • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.

Leads and / or performs the following functions.

  • Wraps and packages completed parts for shipment to customers.
  • Performs part marking per part marking data sheet (PMDS).
  • Verifies quantities to be part marked, packaged, and shipped and examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Prepares and secures cartons, crates, pallets, and other containers for shipment of goods.
  • Verify all outgoing shipments against bill of lading, shipping label, pack slips, commercial invoices, and pallet count.
  • Verify all incoming receiving items are counted and v per the packing slips, closure of PO and distributed to departments (SOP 7.1.8 Receiving Rev A).
  • Uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areas.

  • Ability to lead both the shipping and receiving team in all capacity,

  • Minimum two years' related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to drive forklift, pallet jack and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and outside service providers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply basic to moderate mathematical concepts such as sums and averages. Ability to creates graphs and charts.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
