Job description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of good to customers on specific route, review orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading truck and providing exceptional customer service to our client base.


Essential Job Functions

  • Read delivery manifests provided by the system and determine accurately which merchandise is to be loaded onto the trucks. Pull the merchandise from inventory and load the merchandise.
  • Load and unload trucks and/or trailers to maximize space and ensure safety without damage to products.
  • Pull orders, stocking, data entry, verifying products being shipped against shipping orders.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicle before and after delivering goods.
  • Complies with DOT, State and Local Laws, as well as Company Policies
  • Accurately completes and maintains all records as required by the DOT and Company Policy
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Effective communication skills. Listening, verbal and written.
  • Proactive, ability to work independently and execute job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Effective team player and excels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Appropriate Class Driver’s license according to Federal and State regulations
  • Clear driving record and DOT Medical Certification.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Participate and complete training programs as assigned


Other Requirements/Abilities

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work 40-44 hours per week, Monday through Friday (No overnight work).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, pulling, carrying, balancing, lifting, walking, finger dexterity, climbing.
  • HVAC knowledge desired,
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
