Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming raw materials and supplies.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation.
  • Unload incoming trucks using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Load outbound trucks for delivery to customers, ensuring orders are complete, accurate, properly secured, and shipped on time.
  • Verify shipping and receiving paperwork, including packing slips and bills of lading.
  • Enter shipping and receiving information into the company's inventory system.
  • Maintain organized warehouse inventory and storage locations.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices where applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
  • Work closely with production, customer service, and purchasing to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with general warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience preferred (training available).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read shipping documents and work orders.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
