This posting is for an existing vacancy. We're hiring for this role now.

Why TagsForHope

We're TagsForHope, and we manufacture some of the most loved pet accessories in the world, right here in Canada.

But here's the part we're most proud of: our mission is to make the world a better place for animals.

We partner with dozens of rescue organizations around the world to help save animals' lives, and every product that leaves our facility plays a part in that. When you work here, what you do actually matters.

This isn't a faceless corporate gig. We're a close team of people who genuinely care about what we're building, and we're looking for more people like that.

The Role at a Glance

This is a two-part role, and that's exactly what makes it a good one.

Mornings: you own the facility. You're the person who keeps our workplace clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and around here, that's not an afterthought. We build products in this building that ship to pet families all over the world, and a clean, organized facility is where quality starts.

Then you join the shipping team. Once the facility is in shape, you switch gears and help package, quality-check, and ship our products out the door to customers everywhere.

No experience in shipping or professional cleaning? That's fine, we'll train you. What we can't train is reliability, attention to detail, and pride in your work. Bring those.

Worth knowing: this role touches more of our operation than almost any other, so you'll learn how the whole building runs. When new positions open up, we always look to promote from within first. Our best people get first shot.

The physical side: This is hands-on, on-your-feet work. Expect standing, walking, bending, and lifting boxes, supplies, and trash/recycling up to 20 lb throughout the day.

A Typical Day
  • Start the morning taking care of the facility: clean and restock the bathrooms, tidy the offices and common areas, vacuum, empty the dishwasher, and keep the kitchen spotless
  • Wipe down equipment, break down cardboard, and take out the trash and recycling
  • Refill cabinets and supplies, and keep track of inventory so the team never runs out of what they need
  • Switch over to the shipping team: carefully package products and get orders out the door on time
  • Quality control inspect products before they ship, because our customers expect perfect
  • Collaborate with your team to solve problems, improve how we work, and bring your ideas to the table
You'd Be a Great Fit If...
  • You take pride in a clean, organized space and notice the little things other people walk right past
  • You're self-directed once you know what needs doing, you don't need anyone standing over you
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and take real pride in your work
  • You like variety and enjoy a day split between different kinds of work
  • You're reliable, disciplined, and show up ready to contribute every day
  • You're a team player who's always willing to jump in and help others when they need it
  • You're looking for a place to stay and grow. We value commitment, and it shows when you've invested real time with past employers. If layoffs, contract work, or life events shaped your resume, just tell us the story in your cover letter.
  • You love animals and care about making their lives better
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • $2023/hour
  • Full benefits after the 3-month probation
  • Consistent schedule, Monday to Friday, 8 AM 4 PM. Your evenings and weekends are yours.
  • Real variety; you're never stuck doing the same thing all day
  • A genuinely supportive team that invests in your growth
  • Opportunities to advance as we continue to grow
  • Pet-friendly workplace and free TagsForHope products!
