Company Overview: Best Promotions, an HPG Brands company, is a leading decorator and supplier of a wide variety of advertising specialty products to the promotional products industry.
Position Summary: As a Shipping Team Lead, oversees all outbound logistics activities, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant handling of finished products. This role is responsible for supervising shipping operations, maintaining compliance with dangerous goods regulations, and training associates under their dangerous goods certifications.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various type of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.

  • Lead daily shipping activities including packing, labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
  • Ensure shipments are accurate, on time, and aligned with customer and company requirements.
  • Coordinate staging and movement of finished goods from production to shipping.
  • Maintain accurate shipping logs and reporting.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for dangerous goods regulations (carrier-specific rules).
  • Ensure that all hazardous/dangerous goods shipments are packaged, labeled, and documented in full compliance with federal and carrier requirements.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and assist the Warehouse Supervisor with updates to procedures.
  • Train and certify shipping associates under approved dangerous goods programs.
  • Provide hands-on coaching related to shipping procedures, safety, and quality standards.
  • Act as a lead resource on the floor while escalating issues to the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent referred
  • Active dangerous goods certification with authorization to train others.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with shipping systems, documentation, and freight coordination.
  • Ability to lift, move, and assist with shipments as required.
