Job description

PRIDESTAFF is currently seeking a TEMPORARY Shipping Associate for a well-known automotive company located in Frankfort, IL.


This position is to last 1-2 months to cover an employee leave.


Hours: 10:30PM-7:00AM (3RD SHIFT)

Pay rate: $20.54 PER HOUR


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive purchased and incoming products and/or ship finished products to customer
  • Operate forklift to load and unload trucks as required
  • Receive incoming freight and distribute appropriately
  • Operate Order Pickers to pull production product
  • Prepare shipments per customer instructions - label, scan, and shrink wrap packages accordingly
  • Maintain shipping/receiving records
  • Prepare Bills of Lading
  • Interact with customers as needed
  • Coordinating shipments with freight companies
  • Assist with year-end physical inventory
  • Process partial container and intercompany shipments
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


Key Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle a physical workload - 97% warehouse general labor, 3% sedentary work
  • Must be capable of standing, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, and liftng up to 50 lbs. consistently thoughout shift
  • Ability to wear fall harness protection and work at heights up to 16 feet
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing role, within shipping/receiving department
  • Previous experience operating a forklift (sit-down, stand,up, and or cherry picker)


Other Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Computer experience in Microsoft (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to follow internal and customer instructions
  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
