Job description

Non-Ferrous Inventory and Shipping Associate

Company Overview

M&M Recycling is a metal recycling company serving industrial, commercial, and local customers with safe, efficient processing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Our non-ferrous operation is a critical part of how we serve customers and supply mills with quality material.

We operate in a hands-on, fast-moving environment where accurate grading, inventory control, and shipping performance directly impact the business. We value people who take pride in their craft, work safely, and want to build a long-term skilled trade career in metals and logistics.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Non-Ferrous Inventory and Shipping Associate in Locust Grove, GA to take ownership of the day-to-day flow of non-ferrous material through our warehouse. This is not a general warehouse job; you will use your experience and judgment to identify, grade, move, and prepare valuable non-ferrous metals for shipment.

If you have solid warehouse and forklift experience, enjoy physical indoor/outdoor work, and want a role where you can grow into advanced grading, inventory, or leadership responsibilities, this position offers a clear path to a long-term career in the scrap metal industry.

What You'll Do
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently while protecting product quality and meeting shipping schedules.
  • Identify, sort, and accurately grade non-ferrous metals (such as copper, aluminum, brass, stainless, and alloys) according to company standards.
  • Prepare material for shipment by palletizing, banding, labeling, and staging loads for mills and export containers.
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records using company software, scales, and tracking systems to support reliable counts and documentation.
  • Keep the non-ferrous warehouse organized, clean, and safe, supporting inventory counts, reconciliation, and continuous material flow.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within the first 3–6 months, you consistently load, unload, and stage trucks on time with minimal errors or rework.
  • You accurately identify and grade non-ferrous materials, reducing inventory discrepancies and shipment quality issues.
  • Inventory records, weights, and related documentation are kept current and reliable, supporting smooth outbound shipments to mills and export customers.
  • You are recognized as a go-to person for safe equipment operation, warehouse organization, and adherence to safety and PPE standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Prior warehouse experience, including regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
  • Experience with scrap metal or non-ferrous materials, or a strong ability and desire to quickly learn how to identify and grade metals.
  • Comfort using scales and basic computer and inventory systems, with strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet in an indoor/outdoor environment, and follow all safety, PPE, and company procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $1100 per week with career growth opportunities.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
  • Full-time position.
  • Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
How to Apply

If this sounds like the next step in your warehouse and metals career, please submit your application through the job posting link or apply directly with your resume and contact information so we can schedule an interview.
