BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for performing activities that promote organizational, communication, and informed decision-making regarding customer, and hourly employee support.
Customer Service Related (50%)
  • Run J.I.T. schedules submitted through EDI from customers, calculating daily requirements
  • Address any discrepancies with customer and production planning department
  • Make any necessary changes to customer cumulative information
  • Plot requirements for all customers; create and print deliveries through SAP system
  • Maintain and communicate carrier schedules daily/weekly
  • Systematic archiving of shipping documentation
  • Communicate any requirement issues to both the customer and the manufacturing group
  • Report and investigate inventory discrepancy issues to inventory control personnel
  • Complete shipment documentation
  • Access customer portals for shipping information/requirements
  • Support customer container management
  • Comply with requirements and assist in maintenance of the necessary quality standards (ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001)
  • Actively participate in ongoing continual improvement activities and initiatives
  • Support meeting company EHS goals and activities
  • Understand and follow all EHS policies

DIMENSIONS:

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Work directly with Production Manager. Also, must interface with Purchasing, maintain outside contact with customers.
EDUCATION: Associate degree or combination of equivalent work experience required
EXPERIENCE:
  • Materials Management Diploma desired
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP Systems
  • Thorough understanding of Customer Releases (AIAG Standards) and knowledge of how to plan shipments based on the information provided
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Advanced time management and priority assignment skills
  • Sense of situation urgency and timeliness for internal and external communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for the specified education requirement. The Human Resources Manager will make the determination as to what constitutes equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Familiarity with payroll support functions.
