Job description

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an organized and proficient Shipping and Receiving Associate to join its Saline, MI team! The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for managing all outgoing shipments, accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and shipping Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) products. This role requires carrier interfaces; therefore, exemplary customer care skills and the ability to communicate effectively are required.

Responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Associate:

  • Reviews customer requirements for outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer specifications. Weighs and processes shipments via UPS and FedEx.
  • Verifies accuracy of shipping notices, bill of lading (BOLs), invoices, orders, and other records.
  • Coordinates with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and communicate updates to managers.
  • Utilizes reports to pull parts from production and confirm that product is shipping from the correct order.
  • Prints daily sales receipts and cross-checks computer software to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains accurate records of all shipments and transactions, including shipping logs.

Qualifications of the Shipping Clerk:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree in business or related field acceptable.
  • Minimum one year of related receiving/warehouse experience and/or training required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must possess exemplary customer care skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in verifying shipments, maintaining records, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to keep track of inventory, manage paperwork, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.
