Pay Frequency:
  • Bi-Weekly

Essential Functions:
  • Back up for Shipping Supervisor when needed
  • Receives the daily load schedule lineup from the scheduler and reviews for completeness, load arrangement, scheduled stops, dock times, resource availability, and efficient asset utilization.
  • The Shipping Lead approves the compatibility between the schedule provided and the fleet's current posture.
  • The Shipping Lead has individual responsibility for the carrier coordination of both LTL and full load farm outs. Coordinates claims when necessary.
  • Oversees the efficient inter-warehouse transfer of both raw materials, work in process (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Adheres to daily operating agreements that have been established between departments.
  • Participates in process improvement teams, CAR responses, and quality control initiatives.
  • Maintains historical understanding of customer satisfaction criteria for various clients.
  • Has responsibility to oversee and enforce good driver conduct.
  • Possess thorough understanding of key performance indicators and the factors that drive the Shipping Department's metrics.
  • Examines manning boards, succession plans, and vacation schedules to ensure coverage is in place.
  • Responsibility for accurate paperwork, bill of ladings, and completeness of transactions.

Education / Physical / Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations related to forklift operation.
  • 1-3 years experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Experience with different types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, clamp, etc.).
  • Familiarity with handling and transporting materials within a corrugated manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
