Job description

Position Summary
Under general guidance of the production supervisor, load and unload trucks, pick orders, palletize and shrink wrap product, pack and label boxes for shipment, disassemble equipment, material cycle count, inventory restocking, receive and stage material, itemized incoming material and file PO's. Deliver and pick up products to/from businesses, vendors, and other costumers on a pre-determined route.
Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicle and complete all assigned deliveries efficiently and safely
  • Load, deliver, and pick up electrical equipment from vendors and customers
  • Communicate with customers, confirming delivery times, delivery addresses, and order details
  • Control and submit all delivery and pick up paperwork to the appropriate department
  • Ability to print/create Packing Slips, Bill of Ladings, or other Proofs of Delivery (POD)
  • Obtain signatures from customers on all PODs
  • Maintain neat, clean and professional personal appearance.
  • Clean daily and maintain vehicle appearance.
  • Keep vehicle maintenance schedule, fluids and fuel levels.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer service.
  • Report all problems, accidents, and delays as they occur during the route to management..
  • Package products sold for shipping (strapping, palletizing, crating, shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Match incoming material part numbers to internal bill of materials and report discrepancies.
  • Ship orders interfacing with UPS WorldShip, FEDEX, Freight quotes.
  • Receive BOM components and update CRM/GP systems.
  • Inspect material for damage, quantities and part number accuracy.
  • Reorder shipping supplies.
  • Clean and maintain shipping/receiving work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Remove waste from facility.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
  • Responsible for shipping/receiving quality control as assigned.
  • Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements and report any accidents or injuries promptly to management.
  • Complete other duties assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience moving and unloading equipment using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, lift carts, etc.
  • Able to multitask and produce a quality, error free work product.
  • Ability to recognize problems and to obtain and provide information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills to include both MS Word & Excel
  • Flexibility and work overtime as needed
  • For positions that utilize a company vehicle, will be required to have a valid driver's license.
