What is a shipping and receiving driver?

Shipping and Receiving Drivers are professionals responsible for transporting goods to and from warehouses, distribution centers, or customer locations. They handle loading and unloading shipments, verify delivery documentation, and ensure products are delivered safely and on time. These drivers play a critical role in supply chain operations by helping companies manage inventory flow and meet customer demands. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license are essential for this position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a shipping and receiving driver?

To thrive as a Shipping and Receiving Driver, you need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), knowledge of logistics procedures, and experience with inventory management.
