Job description

he Shipping & Receiving position is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and products.


Responsibilities not limited to:

Shipping & Receiving Coordination

  • Support with daily shipping and receiving activities.
  • Communicate with the Production and Warehouse Supervisors regarding shipping schedules, deadlines, deliveries, and related issues.

Shipping - Support with:

  • Order documentation, including part numbers and quantities.
  • Prepare, package, label, and expedite shipments.
  • Complete required shipping and freight documentation.
  • Maintaining adequate inventory of shipping materials.
  • Maintaining accurate daily and weekly shipping schedules.

Receiving

  • Support with unloading, inspection, and routing of incoming shipments.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage and shortages and document discrepancies.
  • Reject damaged items and coordinate resolution with suppliers and carriers.
  • Process defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate shipments in a fast-paced environment.
  • English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 - 30  lbs. unassisted.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
