Job description

Now hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Associate opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting the production of steel framing and building materials. This is a great opportunity for dependable candidates with warehouse and manufacturing experience looking for long-term growth.

Pay:$18.50$20.00/hour
Schedule:Full-time | Overtime may be available
Location:Griffin, GA

Shift Information:
  • Candidates will train on1st shift for approximately 1 month
  • After training, employees will transition to2nd shift
  • 2nd shift hours are:
    • 2:00 PM 10:00 PMand/or
    • 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and damage
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and shipping paperwork
  • Safely unload and load trucks while staging materials for production and outbound shipping
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound orders accurately
  • Maintain inventory records through scanning and manual documentation
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal departments
  • Communicate shipment delays, shortages, or issues professionally
  • Support warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements:
  • Previous shipping & receiving experience required
  • Manufacturing experience required; metal production experience is a plus
  • Steel toe boots are REQUIRED
  • Must be able to pass:
    • Drug screening
    • Background check
    • Tape measure test
    • Math test
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and wear PPE
