Job description

Inventory and Receiving Associate

Our client, part of a global industry leader, has been in business for more than 50 years providing state-of-the-art processing equipment for their partners in the food industry. They specialize in providing total line solutions, from consultation through system design, manufacturing, and integration. Their cutting-edge technology focuses on turnkey systems for high-capacity processing lines.

They now have a great opportunity for an Inventory and Receiving Associate to join their Team!

Under the supervision of the Inventory Lead and Manager, Inventory and Receiving Associates are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and store raw materials and finished product as well as record and maintain inventory lists, review paperwork and reports, check product codes, process shipping orders, and provide customer service. Inventory Clerks also support their managers by helping with administrative tasks, identifying discrepancies, and coming up with solutions to problems.

Requirements

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • MFG Receive jobs as they come in from the shop floor.
  • Wrap Equipment for shipments.
  • Pulls and stages orders for freight shipments.
  • Unload items to be stocked in warehouses.
  • Help with work orders, purchase orders and sales orders as needed.
  • Operates powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Transact inventory movements using inventory control system.
  • Ensure FIFO (First in First Out) is followed for all transactions.
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Perform domestic and international shipping activities.
  • Package and stock finished goods items.
  • Follows SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
