Job description

Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Morgantown, PA

 

Hourly: Grade Level 6

FLSA Status: Hourly

Department: Shipping & Receiving– Morgantown PA 

Reports To: Group Leader – Jason Rymshaw 


Shift: Day Shift - Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm


 Responsible for: 

 Performing assigned tasks as directed by department Foreman to support all phases of the operation of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound materials. Ensure timely supply of raw materials as required for production. Provide timely delivery of inbound materials to proper location. Maintain inventory of all finished goods. Communicated effectively with all areas associated with tasks and processes. Perform additional tasks or functions as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient use of all tow motors (forklift, clamp)
  • Knowledge and observance of all safety rules.
  • Handling of all hazardous material, including shipping and receiving hazardous materials.
  • Prepare and ship all material as directed
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Reps and Inventory Control
  • Coordinate with internal customers for warehouse shipments
  • Call in shipments for pick up
  • Receive and unload all inbound shipments in good condition
  • Advise in writing any damage and notify Foreman of damage.
  • Functional knowledge of Shipping and Receiving DiMS! modules.
  • Accurate data entry into the DiMS! computer system.
  • Receive and deliver all small package deliveries such as UPA, FedEx, etc.
  • Scan all ink and paper into DiMS!
  • Sequence all materials (papers, pallets, etc.) using a FIFO method.
  • Daily Forklift Safety Checklists (as required by OSHA)
  • Daily warehouse and shipping department safety inspections
  • Sweep and clean warehouse and shipping area routinely
  • File/close out purchase orders with 24 hours
  • Schedule ink tote to ship back to supplier as needed
  • Assist in loading and unloading trailers for warehouse and shipping area.
  • Maintaining and changing out gaylords for the plant
  • Properly disposing of scrap rolls
  • Allocate base paper per job and place at proper press.
  • Maintaining transfer rack and aisle.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
