What are 'Ship to Shore' jobs?

'Ship to Shore' jobs refer to roles that facilitate the movement of goods, information, or personnel between vessels at sea and port facilities on land. These positions can include dockworkers, crane operators, logistics coordinators, marine engineers, and customs agents, among others. People in these roles are essential for loading and unloading cargo, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring smooth communication between ships and shore-based operations. The work environment is often fast-paced and may require working outdoors in various weather conditions. These jobs are vital for supporting global trade and supply chains.
