Timken Aurora Bearing Company is seeking a Pack & Ship Operator that will perform a variety of functions within our Shipping & Receiving department while adhering to the safety, quality and productivity standards of Timken Aurora Bearing Company.

Pack & Ship Essential Responsibilities

  • Clean parts in the proper manner, by bath, wiping or scraping.
  • Apply the proper lubricant by injection, bath or hand application.
  • Inspect for any product defects such as cracks, bad plating, damage or any other irregularity.
  • Assure correct part number, assemble packaging and package in the appropriate container.  Prepare and attach proper labeling.
  • Install press fit or threaded fittings into appropriate parts.
  • Assemble linkages and check for print conformity.
  • Operate departmental machines including but not limited to: aqueous washer, de-magnetizer and greaser.
  • Take stock finished goods cage.  Assist in maintaining real time inventory.
  • Perform duties associated with the inkjet marking operation

Pack & Ship General Qualifications, Skills, & Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary or trades / technical education and certifications preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and shop math competencies
  • Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, suppliers, and plant leadership

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $17.50 -$19.33 per hour and is commensurate on experience and education. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
