POSITION SUMMARY

BoujieMana is a full-service restaurant in central San Diego serving both the surrounding neighborhood and the internal TCWGlobal community. The restaurant offers an elevated, yet approachable dining experience focused on quality and hospitality.

The space includes a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating, a private VIP room, and a training and event center for up to 120 guests. BoujieMana serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner using high-quality ingredients at a higher-end price point while remaining accessible.

With strong evening and weekend traffic and convenient parking, BoujieMana operates as both a neighborhood destination and an event-driven hospitality space. At BoujieMana, we believe great food, thoughtful service, and meaningful experiences go hand in hand and we’re building a team that shares that same passion for hospitality.

BoujieMana has received national and local recognition, including being ranked #8 Best New Restaurant in the U.S. by Yelp, winning the 2024 OpenTable Diner’s Choice Award, maintaining a 4.8 out of 5 rating on OpenTable, and being featured in Forbes and the San Diego Union-Tribune.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Front of House Manager to lead and elevate our guest experience through exceptional service, team development, and operational excellence. This role is the connective tissue between vision and execution—translating our brand standards into consistent, high-level service across every shift. You will oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring our team delivers a seamless, elevated, and joyful dining experience that reflects the heart and soul of BoujieMana.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in both structure and creativity; someone who can build systems, develop people, and still step onto the floor with confidence and presence when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage all front-of-house operations to ensure consistent, high-quality service
  • Create, maintain, and adjust FOH staff schedules based on business needs and labor targets
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop FOH team members (servers, hosts, bartenders, support staff)
  • Hold staff accountable to performance, attendance, and service standards
  • Lead ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management conversations
  • Uphold BoujieMana’s service standards—ensuring every guest experience is elevated, thoughtful, and memorable
  • Monitor service in real time and step in to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Handle escalated guest concerns and ensure resolution aligns with company standards
  • Partner with Floor Managers to ensure strong execution during service and alignment across shifts
  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions that improve efficiency and guest experience
  • Drive accountability for all FOH operational responsibilities, ensuring team members take ownership of cleanliness, side work, and opening/closing duties
  • Maintain clear communication between FOH team, kitchen, bar, and leadership
  • Review daily sales, labor, and service performance; adjust operations as needed
  • Manage FOH-related inventory (bar, service items) and ordering processes
  • Support execution of events, large parties, and high-volume service periods
  • Ensure staffing, flow, and service quality meet expectations for all events
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 2–5+ years of experience in FOH leadership (Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar role in upscale dining)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
  • Proven experience with scheduling, labor management, and service operations
  • Deep understanding of hospitality, service standards, and guest experience strategy
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings preferred
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Emotionally intelligent, detail-oriented, and grounded in a hospitality-first mindset
  • Comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with floor presence as needed
  • Familiarity with Shift4 (POS system) is a plus!
