Position Summary
The Sub-Assembly / Wire Harness Assembler will perform a combination of duties in assembly of various electronic components and wire harness assembly, according to company specifications. The assembler will use various hand and power tools, wiring diagrams, hand solder, and follow sample boards to determine assembly duties. Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Soldering and wiring assemblies that are components in the final product
  • Preparing set-up, forming, and staging of various components for assembly
  • Operating automated wire crimping / cable machinery
  • Performing visual inspection of wire harnesses and sub-assembly components
  • Follow instructions provided by tablet-based work instructions

Education & Skills Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • Good mechanical aptitude and accurate use of various hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and experience with electrical wiring, crimping and blue print reading
  • Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, Assembly drawings and any other related manufacturing documents
  • Capable of using different hand and tabletop tools related to manufacturing of electronic components and wire assembly
  • Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings and any other related manufacturing documents is preferred
