About the Role:

The Manufacturing Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This position is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing associates, coordinating workflow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes. The Team Lead acts as a liaison between management and production staff, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of operational challenges. They are instrumental in maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ultimately, the role ensures that production goals are achieved on time and within budget, contributing directly to the overall success of the manufacturing facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced production scheduling tools.
  • Certification in safety management or supervisory training programs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of manufacturing team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Monitor daily production schedules and adjust resources as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to support their development and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to address equipment issues and quality concerns promptly.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving processes, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, documenting team performance and operational metrics.
  • Facilitate effective communication between management and production staff to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
