Job Summary:
The Hannaford To Go Supervisor is the leader of the Hannaford To Go team. As a leader, they are responsible for ensuring an efficient department to meet all of our customer needs. The HTG Supervisor is responsible for keeping all Hannaford To Go associates on task and collaborates with the Assistant
Store Manager to address any coaching needs. The HTG Supervisor celebrates department successes with associates and develops plans to address any operational needs. Leveraging various operational metrics, the HTG Supervisor tracks and measures department performance always with an eye towards growing the business and maintaining high quality customer shopping experiences that result in repeat business.
Essential Job Functions:As a Hannaford To Go Supervisor, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day includes the following:
  • Lead the Hannaford To Go Department operations in accordance with established department standard practices, in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Lead excellent customer service and goodwill by role modeling and providing high standards in customer service and sales building.
  • Lead and ensure that department conditions involving appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety are maintained at the highest level.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in making sure all yearly certifications are up to date.
  • Utilize company tools such as: financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering and business information systems.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining effective work schedules to meet customer service standards as well as associates' personal needs.
  • Use good judgement in the delegation, assignment, and follow up required for the efficient performance of the department.
  • Provide real time teaching on Shopping or Expediting process issues.
  • Provide feedback to Assistant Store Manager on associate performance or behavior issues.
  • Lead training and developing associates to meet department needs.
  • Maintain solid communication in the department and with store management.
  • Observe and follow all company policies, established standard practices and legal requirements.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.
  • A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • Retail customer service experience preferred.
  • Understanding of store operations preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and other perishable items.
  • Support and comply with all company safety standards.
  • Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.
  • Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
  • Be knowledgeable in and able to recognize and differentiate between the various types of produce merchandise carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products (e.g., apples, lettuces, etc.).
  • Record on designated forms any price discrepancies and/or any "not on file" items that are encountered on electronic point-of-sale terminal and shopping devices.
  • Record on designated forms any issues with our LMD (Last Mile Delivery) partners.
  • Secure registers, Mobile Point of Sale Equipment, Shopping Devices when leaving it unattended; protect company assets at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
We care about our associates, so we want to be clear on some of the physical requirements of this role.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
  • Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
  • Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers and household cleaners.
  • Have sufficient visual acuity to read the shopping device display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.

Salary range is between $ 18.95 - $27.25 Hrly
