Job description

The Packer at Neighborly is responsible for accurately packaging and preparing all takeout and delivery orders and delivering food to dine-in guests in a timely manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, a focus on order accuracy, and a sense of urgency to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Packs and prepares takeout and delivery orders provided by the Expeditor/Expo. Review orders for accuracy (marked chit, sauces, condiments, utensils, modifications, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable with all menu items, products, sides, sauces, toppings and garnishes, etc
  • Assists in other FOH tasks such as running food to guests, handing out delivery/carry-out orders, and cleaning the restaurant.
  • Upholds company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Sense of urgency and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and kitchen staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
  • Able to work flexible hours as necessary
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience in food service is preferred
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
  • Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 24 hours a week
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able bag/box orders, lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
