Job description

Production and Manufacturing Downstream Position

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the receipt of inbound raw materials and preparation of finished products for outbound shipments, including the loading of trucks, railcars, totes, and drums.

What you'll be doing:

  • Presiding over the loading process of trucks and railcars, ensuring delivery of the proper products and volumes ordered
  • Preparing proper hose connections to facilitate receipt of raw materials from bulk trucks and railcars
  • Verifying that the receiving vessel can accommodate the volume of raw materials or finished products being transferred
  • Manipulating drummed and packaged materials both manually and with powered industrial equipment as required
  • Acquiring samples of bulk and packaged raw materials and finished products as required
  • Acquiring a visual level and temperature reading of tanks on a daily basis, along with manual tape gauges performed monthly
  • Performing computer-related tasks necessary to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the customer on time and in the quantity ordered, along with any necessary paperwork
  • Performing all work functions in a manner that supports Corporate and RRLP Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental objectives
  • Contributing toward a clean and orderly workplace by adhering to routine cleaning schedules
  • Expected to cross-train across all hourly roles onsite, including production and operations

What we need from you:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
  • Blending and packaging plant operations experience is a plus, but not a requirement
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Experience in computer data entry in SAP system is an asset
  • Ability to use computers to perform required tasks; ability to communicate across multiple platforms with honesty and integrity
  • May require moving drummed and packaged materials and transfer hoses as required by the processes, as well as climbing stairs, ladders, and working from elevated platforms, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Daily attendance is required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Candidate must be able to speak and understand English
  • Must live 60 miles near the area/residence
  • Must follow Shell's Code of Conduct and Life Saving Rules at all times
  • As a successful candidate, you will be required to qualify on multiple work processes and includes a 150-day probationary/training period during which employment may be subject to termination

The rate for this position is $30.68. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
