Job Description

You are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Safety and Security to join the team. Reporting to the Vice President of Amenities, the Director of Safety and Security will be responsible for the overall community to ensure a safe and secure environment, including effective management of critical incidents and emergencies as well as oversight of Shell Point’s in‑house security team. The strategic role will focus on ensuring the safety and well‑being of residents, staff, and visitors rather than OSHA administration. This position will develop and maintain emergency response plans—including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and crisis management—as well as corporate security and safety policies. The role will conduct regular security assessments and drills to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate them, and will work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective communication and coordination as needed. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, an excellent communicator, and proficient in creating, communicating, and implementing corporate policy. A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is strongly preferred, as is significant experience in security/public safety management, preferably within a campus, hospitality, or resort environment.
