Job Description: NIGHT FUEL TRANSPORT DRIVER (NFTD)
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the position is to operate Campbell Oil Company (COC) owned and leased vehicles safely, load our tankers, transport, and deliver fuel products to commercial customers throughout the assigned area while following route schedules and working in a safe manner. Delivery Drivers will fill customer equipment and storage tanks while working in varying environmental conditions. We are looking for a driver that can be productive, efficient, safe, independent, and work without constant supervision. Candidates must be able to pass our training and skills assessment testing, be highly customer service focused and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Operate vehicle safely and in compliance with all state and federal traffic laws including, but not limited to the DOT and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  3. Operate Campbell Oil Company’s combination units safely including coupling and uncoupling trailers and fueling tractors, testing tire pressure, draining air tanks and checking compartments for fuel retained.
  4. Perform required paperwork including, but not limited to, Campbell Oil Company delivery tickets, relative fuel reports, DOT logs and shipper/delivery reports and collections on C.O.D. orders.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and ensures all equipment is in good working order.
  6. Be able to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees F.
  7. Follow scheduling and routing of deliveries and give courteous service to all customers.
  8. Follow proper procedures when handling hazardous materials and when reporting any accidents or spills.
  9. Understand and speak English, including the ability to hear the spoken word.
  10. Always protect Company Assets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position; hours of work and days will be evening shift.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily to, but not limited to, the Apex area of North Carolina during evening hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Minimum of a Class B CDL along with HAZMAT.
