Offshore workers often work on a rotational schedule, spending weeks on-site followed by time off. Safety is a top priority, and employees receive specialized training to handle the unique challenges of an offshore environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a Shell Offshore position?

To thrive in a Shell Offshore role, a strong understanding of offshore operations, safety protocols, and engineering or technical skills is essential, often supported by a relevant engineering degree or technical certification. Familiarity with industry-standard safety systems (such as Permit To Work systems), offshore survival certifications (like BOSIET), and experience with digital monitoring tools are highly valued.
