Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and system health.
  • Perform OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication.
  • Troubleshoot Linux operating system, network, and application issues.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Manage storage systems, file systems, and LVM configurations.
  • Configure and maintain DNS, NFS, SSH, FTP, Apache, and related services.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization.
  • Develop shell scripts and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Maintain system security compliance and audit standards.
  • Support cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Participate in on‑call support rotations and incident response activities.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
  • Knowledge of Linux commands, services, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with shell scripting and automation tools.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and security.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory integration, and authentication methods.
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic Shell scripting.
  • Basic Networking Skills.
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Cloud-hosted Linux administration exposure is preferred where hybrid environments are in scope.
Preferred Certifications
  • Red RHSCA
  • RHCE
  • Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure)
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Clearance
  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation.
