Job description

The Packout Assembler - Lead 2nd Shift will oversee the assembly and packing/palletizing of industrial equipment parts. This role requires supervision and be a working lead person of shift activities with a focus on quality control, proper documentation of paperwork, safety compliance, and accurate production reporting using various systems including ERP and custom tools. Must have computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

MUST HAVE WORKED IN MANUFACTURING!!!

  • Supervise assembly, packing, palletizing, operations during the 2nd shift
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 2am
  • Must be able to READ BLUEPRINTS
  • Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection of component parts prior to assembly
  • Must be able to count, update computer records, paperwork.
  • Meet production goals
  • Maintain quality control standards
  • Identify and drive process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate production reports using ERP, custom tools, and spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing assembly
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing of sheet metal
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and time management abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to drive a forklift
