Facilities Maintenance Lead
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for keeping facilities running smoothly and efficiently?
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Lead to oversee day-to-day upkeep and repair of the agency's office spaces and buildings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to projects, general repair duties, painting, installation and maintenance of various shelves and fixtures, moving files and furniture, cleaning storage room, shed and windows as well as regular cleaning at multiple locations.
This position also includes supervisory responsibilities for other light maintenance and custodial staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with agency standards.
This non-exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. Hours could vary too. Compensation is based upon education level, starting at $62,000/year. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability and 403(b) Retirement Savings, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and personal holidays.
Education and experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 1-2 years of practical experience; practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This individual must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and be flexible with schedule and duties assigned.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current Minnesota Driver's license required.
Boiler license required within 6 months of hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform general maintenance and repair activities for office space and entire buildings.
2. Maintain storage area including keeping it clean and safe.
3. Move office furniture and files and assist in inter-agency moves as required.
4. Construct and repair a variety of woodwork including walls, doors, windows, partitions, etc. 5. Perform janitorial services both inside and outside of several buildings.
6. Assist in vehicle fleet maintenance as needed.
7. Periodically (based on weather) check windshield wash fluid levels in all agency vehicles, filling and topping off as needed.
8. Clear agency vehicles of snow as needed.
9. As needed, use snow blower to clear away snow around agency vehicles to permit access by employees.
10. Maintain boiler license and provide oversight for boiler.
11. Deliver items to sites or other locations as needed.
12. Attend staff development training and agency meetings as required.
13. Comply with all policies and procedures of Families First.
14. Supervise and coordinate tasks assigned to light maintenance and custodial staff, including scheduling, training, and quality assurance.
15. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring safety protocols and agency
standards are followed.
16. Report performance concerns or staffing needs to the Facilities Manager.
