What is a sharks job?
The job of a shark in the ecosystem is to maintain balance by regulating prey populations and ensuring ocean health. As apex predators, sharks prevent the overpopulation of certain species, which helps sustain marine biodiversity. By removing weak and sick individuals, they contribute to the overall genetic strength of marine life. Their presence helps keep the food chain stable, supporting healthy ocean habitats.

While sharks are the subject of study, marine biologists have a broader scope covering multiple marine species and ecosystems.
