Job description

Job Summary:
NetJets, the global private aviation leader for more than 60 years, provides the pinnacle of private travel. The Senior Application Platform Engineer resolves complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment, focusing on Microsoft 365 collaboration platform engineering, particularly SharePoint Online development and management.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Microsoft 365 collaboration and security platforms, with primary ownership of SharePoint Online development and administration.
• Design, build, and enhance SharePoint sites/solutions (information architecture, pages/web parts, navigation) and deliver scalable standards and documentation.
• Experience with advanced SharePoint site development using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and tools such as Plumsail and JavaScript.
• Develop automation and admin tooling (Microsoft Graph; PowerShell/PnP as needed) for provisioning, reporting, remediation, and configuration enforcement.
• Gather business requirements and collaborate with site owners.
• Build and support Power Platform solutions integrated with SharePoint (Power Apps/Power Automate) following reliability and supportability standards.
• Lead SharePoint governance and lifecycle management (inventories, ownership validation, retention/archival alignment, cleanup, and oversharing prevention).
• Administer Microsoft 365 security and compliance (Purview, Entra ID, Conditional Access, audit/logging) and support incident response, evidence gathering, and remediation.
• General M365 administration and support
• Provide mentoring, runbooks/standards, escalation support, and 24/7/365 on-call coverage; partner cross-functionally to deliver platform improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's in related field
• 4-6 years of experience
• 4+ years administering/engineering Microsoft 365 collaboration with deep SharePoint Online expertise (sites, lists/libraries, permissions, governance, tenant configuration)
• Ongoing SharePoint learning and awareness of Microsoft feature releases; continuous improvement of existing technologies.
• Hands-on SharePoint solution delivery (modern pages/web parts, information architecture) with strong security/least-privilege and oversharing prevention practices.
• Integration of SharePoint with business processes and applications using APIs such as Microsoft Graph and REST.
• Automation/integration experience for SharePoint/Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Graph; PowerShell/PnP) plus Power Platform (Power Apps/Power Automate) solutions.
• Experience with automation using PowerShell, JavaScript, or other common scripting languages.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and performance management tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Agile project management using Jira/ServiceNow to improve efficiency, prioritization, and throughput.
• Proven ability to independently plan, lead, and deliver small to mid-sized initiatives with minimal oversight
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable outcomes
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented approach
• Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, multi-workstream environment
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies and platform capabilities

• Experience supporting or maintaining these applications and platforms is a plus: Varonis, RightFax, DocuSign, Jaspersoft, Box.com, Calendly, Figma, Lucidchart, Miro, Proofpoint, and Poppulo.
